“Virtual Account” -the Customer’s airtel Money Account which is the record maintained by airtel Ghana of the amount of virtual money held by the Customer and represented by an equivalent amount of cash held by the Trustee on the Customer’s behalf
“Agent(s)” -individual(s) registered by airtel Ghana to provide airtel Money Services
“Cash in” - process of converting cash to virtual money at authorized airtel Ghana Agents locations
“Cash out” - process of converting virtual money to cash at authorized airtel Ghana Agent locations
“Customer”- an individual whose virtual account is registered on the airtel Ghana network
“Virtual Money” represents a record stored on the airtel Ghana- airtel Money servers of the Customer’s entitlement to an equivalent amount of cash held by the airtel Ghana in the Trust Account
“airtel Money Transaction” means any transaction which results in the Customer’s virtual account being credited or debited with virtual Money
“Nick-name”- 3-7 character name automatically created for the Customer at the account origination and used to protect the Customer’s privacy and enhance security. The Customer can change the Nick-name any time.
“Password” – 4 digit personal identification number being the secret code the Customer chooses to access and operate his / her virtual account
“Transaction fee”- actual charges for use of the airtel Money services as published in airtel Money User Guide
“Trust Account”- the Bank Account maintained by Zap Trust (Ghana) Company Limited into which all Payments are made and held by airtel Ghana on behalf of the Customer
“Trustee” – Zap Trust (Ghana) Company Limited
“We” or “Us” or “Our” means airtel Ghana.
Reports on the Customers balance can be delivered in both SMS and e-mail format upon the request of the Customer.
