Airtel Madagascar Rewards the Best Soccer Players of the 2016 Akamasoa Tournament

AIRTEL MADAGASCAR REWARDS THE BEST SOCCER PLAYERS OF THE 2016 AKAMASOA TOURNAMENT

Airtel Madagascar graced the finals of the 2016 Akamasoa tournament held on July 10, 2016 at the Akamasoa stadium in Andralanitra. Always in a spirit of identifying and promoting talent, Airtel contributed to the success of the football tournament organized by Father Pedro’s charity Akamasoa. The best players received sports kits from Airtel Madagascar.

A delegation led by Airtel Madagascar CEO Maixent Bekangba made a point of marking a milestone in the decisive phase of the tournament. After the final, the Akamasoa charity and 4 finalist teams from neighbourhoods around Andralanitra enjoyed rewards from the third global mobile operator. So sports equipment such as tracksuits, shorts, football boots, nets and trophies were gifted to support and reward everyone's efforts. First-aid kits, stopwatches, whistles and footballs were delivered to the center to ensure that all sports can be played properly.

The collaboration between Airtel Madagascar and the Akamasoa charity is not new. Just a few months ago, Airtel gave prizes to the Centre’s best students who passed their official examinations. Apart from education, sport is an ideal area for the operator. This tournament was a great opportunity for Airtel Madagascar to support not only sport in particular but also the Akamasoa centre’s activities. "... Through this gesture, Airtel Madagascar is sharing its values of dynamism, solidarity and respect. It's a way of showing our wish to be even closer to Malagasy from all social strata. It is also a way for us to enable these youngsters to develop their potential ..." said the Airtel Madagascar CEO, Maixent Bekangba.

Being constantly open to the different activities of the Center and elsewhere, always alongsideyoung people, Airtel Madagascar was awarded a souvenir
