Touching Lives-Airtel Nigeria fulfils promise to physically challenged man
… As employees donate to Bethesda Home for The Blind.

In fulfilment of the promise made to a physically challenged man, Gbenga Adesida, in the recently concluded second season of Airtel Touching Lives, Airtel Nigeria has handed over a home to the beneficiary.

Adesida, whose story was featured in the third episode of the CSR programme, was weighed down by social challenges, displacement of his family and near destitution in addition to being visually impaired
In order to help him re-unite with his family, Airtel Nigeria had vowed to provide accommodation for Adesida.
The apartment, located at Agbara in Ogun State, was presented to Adesida on Friday, 20th May, 2016.  Some members of the community who are familiar with the story of Adesida and have become his friends over time witnessed the occasion. Assistant Manager CSR, Airtel Nigeria, Chioma Okolie, presented the keys to Mr. Adesida on behalf of the company.
With the just concluded Season 2 of the CSR intervention, Airtel Nigeria has positively impacted on the lives of individuals, families and communities across Nigeria. It has generated positive responses from many Nigerians.
In the same vein, employees of the company through the Employee Volunteer Scheme (EVS), gave financial support to Bethesda Home for The Blind, a non-profit organisation set up to cater for visually-impaired children.
A team from the company comprising the Assistant Manager CSR, Chioma Okolie; Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, Emeka Dike; Process and Compliance Officer, Richard Ohenhen and Wura Alake of the CSR Unit, were at the school on Friday, 13th May, 2016 to present a cheque to the students.
Director, Bethesda Home for The Blind, Chioma Ohakwe, commended Airtel Nigeria for extending love to the students.
