Airtel Rwanda set to air Touching Lives First Episodes

Kigali, Rwanda. July, 2016 – Airtel Rwanda will for the first time in Rwanda air the Touching Lives campaign episodes this week. Touching lives is a campaign that was launched early April this year and seeks to offer practical relief, assistance, hope, opportunities and credible platforms to liberate and empower the underprivileged and hard to reach persons in our society.

Following the big publicized campaign, the Airtel team identified 20 beneficiaries who will benefit from the Touching Lives initiative and their stories will be broadcasted on national TV. The stories packaged in 2 stories per episode will be aired on both Rwanda Television (TVR) this Sunday 24th July 2016, 19hr: 30 and Television One (TV1) on Tuesday 26th July 2016, 18hr: 10.

Michael Adjei Nii Boye also emphasized that aside from doing business, Airtel is also committed to caring for the people and communities it operates in – which is the rationale of the Touching Lives Initiative.
Touching Lives stories to be aired on TV will center on personal tragedy, genocide survivor stories, education, health and entrepreneurship. Touching Lives initiative whose aim is to recognize and support individuals and groups who have made outstanding contributions to their communities, will air stories for 11 weeks effective 24th July 2016 on TVR.
