Airtel Uganda – ICT for Schools Project

AIRTEL UGANDA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HUAWEI CONNECTS 30 COMPUTERS FOR THREE SCHOOLS IN KIRUHURA DISTRICT IN THE – ICT FOR SCHOOLS PROJECT
 
Airtel the Smart Phone Network in partnership with HUAWEI Technologies and Nassasira Foundation powered 30 Computers in three schools through the ICT FOR SCHOOLS PROJECT.
The Computers that will each receive 2GB of data from Airtel for a period of one year were handed over by the Huawei Managing Director Stanley Chyn in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Uganda H.E Zhao Yali.
The function was presided over by the outgoing ICT Minister Engineer John Nassasira in collaboration with the NASSASIRA Foundation that seeks to address issues of ICT in Education, Water and Sanitation and Agro-business.
The 30 Computers were received by Kashwa Primary School, Rwemikoma Secondary School and Karo Secondary School all in Kiruhura District.
