JUMIA &AIRTEL DATA Bundle T&Cs

The following terms and conditions apply to the Airtel JUMIA Bundle (“the Service”) during the Activation period and the promotion period.

The “Activation period” refers to the period that JUMIA has assigned for the sale of the devices and in this case it’s the period 19th March 2018 to 25th March 2018.

The promotion period refers to the period from 19th March 2018 to 10th April 2018 i.e. the period that the subscriber will be able to activate the 2GB free data bundle.

By activating this Service you will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted the same:

  1. The Service
    This Service enables the subscriber to access 2GB free data valid for 30 days over the activation and promotion period. The data bundle will be auto renewable for three months.

  2. Eligibility
    The Service is open to only Airtel Prepaid subscribers who purchase devices with Jumia during the activation period.

  3. Data Bundles
    The Data Bundles as published by Airtel on its website.
    • To activate the Data bundle dial *544*44# from your NEW mobile number.
    • The Bonus plan will be renewed automatically on the anniversary of the time of activation.
    • If you continue to browse after the expiry or depletion of your Bundle the published Airtel Pay as you Go (PAYG) Tariff will apply.

    Pay As you Go Tariff:The Pay As you Go Tariff is Ksh. 4 per MB. The Pay As you Go Tariff enables subscribers to use Airtel data on the go without subscribing to any of the above plans and bundles. All you need to do is purchase Airtel airtime and start browsing.

  4. Priority of Consumption
    If you purchase more than one of the data plans offered by Airtel, the following is the priority of use:
    • Bonus Data
    • Data Bundles 
    • Pay As you Go Tariff

  5. Gift a Bundle
    This bundle will not qualify for gifting.
    Other purchased bundles will however qualify for gifting as per Airtel Terms and Conditions on data bundles.

  6. How to Access the Service
    Prepaid subscribers can activate a data bundle in the following ways:
    • Access your bundle from the *544*44# USSD menu

  7. General Terms
    1. This service is a shared resource therefore the speed maybe affected by the number of users at any given time.
    2. Airtel data bundles are not for re-sale. You therefore will not resell data bundles activated under these terms and conditions. Airtel takes no liability for such resell or purchase through resell and further
    3. Airtel reserves the right to withdraw this service from you if you breach these terms.

  8. Extension of Terms
    1. Save as modified above, these Terms and Conditions are supplemental to and subject to the published
      Airtel Prepaid and Postpaid Service Terms and Conditions, Airtel Money Terms and Conditions and any other published terms and conditions that relate to any other Airtel product/service that you may be using in conjunction with the data bundles.
    2. Airtel reserves the right to modify, vary, amend or withdraw this service and Terms and Conditions.
      Such changes will be communicated through the media, Airtel website or any other appropriate avenue as Airtel may determine.
